Specialty Lines Insurance
Depending on the needs of your family or business, there are other types of insurance that may be helpful for you. Contact us to find out which are right for you and get a quote.
Flood Insurance
Just because you don’t live in a flood zone, doesn’t mean it can’t happen, and the damage can be devastating. Homeowners insurance doesn’t automatically include flood insurance.
Additionally, only a small percentage of homes are covered by government programs. There is a National Flood Insurance Program that guarantees availability of insurance in specific areas. However, this only covers a tiny percentage of people.
For most homeowners, floods are a low likelihood but high-cost risk, and one that you cannot afford to take.
Event Liability Insurance
If you are planning a special event such as a wedding, graduation party, family reunion, etc.., it’s important to consider event liability insurance. It may even be a requirement of your venue. Other suggested coverages include event cancellation insurance and host liquor liability insurance.
Wedding Insurance
These policies are generally customized for each couple’s specific needs. For the most part, it will cover the following:
- Wedding postponement due to illness or deployment
- Accidental damage to wedding food, clothes, or rings
- Service vendors failing to meet their obligations
Earthquake Insurance
Homeowners insurance generally doesn’t cover earthquakes, but an earthquake insurance policy would cover damage and destruction to your home or building.
Sinkhole Insurance
This is one of those policies where there’s a low chance you’ll need to make a claim, but if you do, it could be for an extremely large amount. Check to see what your homeowners insurance covers to make the right decision.
Valuable Possessions Insurance
This could be needed to cover the full cost of valuable items like jewelry or artwork that your homeowners policy won’t.
Identity Theft Insurance
Identity theft protection typically offers three main services: monitoring for potentially fraudulent activity; monitoring a child’s information; and assistance while recovering from identity theft.
SR-22 Filing
The SR-22 is a form that proves you have secured proper personal auto liability insurance. High-risk drivers may need to take this extra step.
